ABOUT KHUNN FABRIC:

The Khunn fabric comes from the arid hinterlands of Northern Karnataka in India where it is hand woven by generations of skilled artisans. The weaves of silk yarns and cotton threads, intricate patterns and rich, vivid colors give it a look of grand artwork.

Khunn fabric was traditionally used to make cholis (blouses) for women in this region, but with very few takers of these traditional blouses today, the art is dying and the looms are shutting down. Our home furnishings collection gives the Khunn fabric a fresh and unique interpretation using varied techniques such as patch work, embroidery and appliques. Plus, by creating lifestyle products that can become part of our day to day lives, we are keeping this rare art form alive.

* The front of this pillow is made using patch work technique. Individual Khunn fabric strips of different colors and designs are sewn together to make an interesting pattern.

* The back is fuchsia (Magenta) color. It is made from a hand woven fabric called Petha, traditionally used by the villagers to make head gears. Zipper closure in the back.

* Jewel Tone, vibrant colors
* Dry clean only
* Made to order
* Insert included.

* Due to the nature and art of hand weaving, small irregularities in weave or color are normal and do not effect quality. This adds a natural charm to Khunn fabric.
