Antique Black Victorian Era Lace Blouse
ca. 1880s 90s

Romantic and wistful with a plunging neckline and a sheer nude lining. Antique, extremely delicate French black lace blouse bodice.

There are 12 snap enclosures on the back that attach the sheer
lining. The bodice is constructed of elegantly fragile Chantilly lace which also has three snap enclosures in the back/bottom of the blouse. Two tiny snaps are also on the cuffs to envelope the most dainty of wrists.

Measuring;
38" bust (from under arms across)
15" length (front), shorter in the back as shown
23" sleeve

This is a wonderful and skillfully made antique piece,
however, it will need restoration and may be best
suited as a study piece or display, it is quite delicate.
There is some damage and holes to the underarm areas
where the lace has torn . The top snaps seem to be missing,
although the hook and eye closures are in place on the interior lining. We are selling as a project piece for restoration.
