The original French water-cooled ceramic butter dish!!!
No more hard butter....
The butter always stays fresh, soft and spreadable!
The butter dish is not put in the fridge!
Spread half a pound (approx. 250g) of room-softened butter into the top of the tin. If you push hard butter in, it can fall out again, hard fat doesn't stick to the inner wall! Fill the bottom of the butter dish with normal cold tap water so full that the water almost overflows when the case is closed. Refresh the water every two to three days. At normal room temperature, 20-25°C, the butter remains soft and spreadable.
Our customers also like to use the French butter dish for breakfast outdoors, or on the balcony or terrace. This type of water-cooled butter dish is not a new invention, but was used by the populace as a storage container for butter in times when there was no electricity and no refrigerator.
Each butter dish comes with an easy-to-understand written instruction manual.

Each tin is unique, individually turned and decorated by hand on the potter's wheel. Minimal deviations in shape and glaze (color) are given by hand.
The stoneware ceramic, fired at 1300°C, is dishwasher-safe, suitable for the microwave and glazed with a food-safe glaze developed by us. The glazes do not contain any heavy metals (lead, cadmium)!
