Our Large Tongs are an essential tool for your kitchen! Great for grabbing food from a hot pan, stirring, or turning. Easy to grip and the long arms help keep your hand further away from the heat. Great for the grill too! Approximately 12" long and the arms are about 3/4 wide".

Each utensil has its own unique grain pattern. Our image is representative of the shape and of the wood species and color but your piece will most likely have a different grain.

a little story behind these tongs: Our father, a fine woodworker had a friend & neighbor who would collect pine cones for decoration. She didn't want to get the sticky sap on her hands. He made a pair of these for her and we've found they make great kitchen tongs!

We start with locally sourced woods whenever possible and mill them down to size in our small shop. Each item is shaped and sanded repeatedly until smooth. They are then wet down to raise the grain and sanded some more. We will give them one more sanding with walnut oil or mineral oil and let that soak in overnight. This is followed up with a coat of our own Spoon Balm which is made from walnut oil and beeswax.

We recommend hand washing with soap and water, wipe off the excess and then allow to air dry. Please don't soak them or put them in the dishwasher! Apply a coat of oil, or our Spoon Balm, occasionally to protect the wood.
