We started The Stranded Thread with one simple dream: to create a life that felt more like ours. After years of working for companies that left us feeling “owned,” my mother‑in‑law and I decided it was time to take our creativity, and our freedom, back into our own hands.
What began as a small idea at the kitchen table has grown into a cozy, joy‑filled studio where we get to do what we love every day: make beautiful, meaningful pieces for people who appreciate handmade work. We’re fueled by fabric, family, and the belief that life is too short not to build something you’re proud of.
Every item in our shop is made with intention... sewn, stitched, or appliquéd by hand, often with a cup of coffee nearby and kids or grandkids running around in the background. This business lets us spend more time with the people we love, and we hope every piece we create brings a little of that warmth into your home, too.
Thank you for supporting our family, our craft, and our dream.
We’re so grateful you’re here.

I’m a homeschooling mom who loves to cook! My days are usually spent between the sewing machine, the kitchen, my garden, and the barnyard. I love my family, my animals, and making pieces that bring comfort and creativity together.

Fast cars, fresh gardens, and six homeschooled kids shaped my life. Now I’m enjoying a slower season filled with stitching, sewing, and time with my grandbabies. Every piece here is made with the same love and grit that raised my family
