Kathy has been curating for as long as she can remember. Since she's moved around so much (first growing up in Pennsylvania, then living in the Southeast of the USA with Americorps NCCC, then out to Montana, down to Tennessee, and finally back to her hometown) Kathy has developed a system for what stays in her life -the big three. Is it memorable, useful, and beautiful. (I.e. does it have a good memory attached to it, can I use it for something, and is it just plain ol good lookin?) Through her travels she found most things she collected had 2 out of 3. BUT the really special things have all three!

When living in Nashville, Kathy realized she had a knack for this sort of thing and finally took the plunge and opened a booth with her friend Becky at the Downtown Antique Mall. Sales soared, every Saturday was like a beauty scavenger hunt, the rest as they say, is kitschy, eclectic, beach cottagey, regency history!

To her, success is measured differently in the vintage game. When she discovered a couple had used her vintage flash cards in their engagement photo she realized putting the right thing into the right hands was a pillar of her business.

Not long after opening the booth, Kathy would put her original artwork with the rest of the art that was for sale. Low and behold almost all the work was snatched up in days!
