When you refund money on paypal does it cost you anything? And does it then take out the commission on the original amount or the revised/refunded amount?

Thanks.

No, and they actually give you the money back they removed from the amount. That is if you use the "refund" option.

No, it doesn't cost anything. You also get back Paypal fees on the amount you refunded.

You refund part of it and paypal does, too.

Thanks heaps everyone! It would normally only be like a partial refund on the darn shipping that is soooooo very hard to judge with all the different things that I sell especially when there is more than 1 item in a cart.

pay pal is like a stock broker. Anything you do there costs you money. A little piece of advice? Get a paypal debit card. When you buy anything through that debit card you get paid back. You can also call paypal and negotiate a lower transaction rate. C.

Not my experiencre. A refund doesn't cost anything, Paypal puts back the fee it previously deducted and the person who gets the refund gets the whole amount beck.
