TO SUM UP: to volunteer, reply "YES" and put down your time zone (EASTERN; CENTRAL; MOUNTAIN; PACIFIC). PLEASE ONLY REPLY IF YOU WANT TO VOLUNTEER. If you don't know what the CPSIA is about, please do a search for that and information will pop up.

100 would be good, but 200 is ideal. We'll call in shifts, I can give you a script tomorrow if you'd like one, but it's best to put it in your own words. You'll probably get voice mail anyway. If we don't get at least 100 I wouldn't be very enthusiastic about the results.

Since the Wednesday, December 10th meeting was canceled, I think it would be a good idea to call starting at 9:00 and ending at 4:00 on that day (EASTERN TIME).

Why 200 people? Because that would be about 30 people calling every hour. We can work in shifts; I can get a list set up by time zone. You would first call Bobby Rush, then call Ed Whitfield, the majority and minority leaders of the subcommittee and Bobby Rush was the sponsor of the original horrible bill. Maybe we can fry their phones a bit; I wouldn't have a problem with that.

Also, SEND A LETTER. I can provide a couple scripts tomorrow.

Subcommittee on Commerce, Trade, and Consumer Protection

Bobby L. Rush (D)
Washington Office
2416 Rayburn HOB
Washington, DC 20515
phone: 202-225-4372
fax: 202-226-0333

Ed Whitfield (R)
Washington Office
2411 Rayburn HOB
Washington, DC 20515
(202) 225-3115 Voice
(202) 225-3547 Fax

NEXT DAY- same basic calling schedule

Nancy Pelosi
Washington, D.C. Office
235 Cannon HOB - Washington, DC 20515
(202) 225-4965

Diane Feinstein (Senator, the rest are House reps)
(she is the main screamer that existing Feb 10 inventory should be tested, leaving hundreds of thousands of products in a potential junk heap)
331 HART SENATE OFFICE BUILDING
WASHINGTON DC 20510
(202) 224-3841

Thank you
Margaret

ME! I'm in. Although I don't know exactly what time I can call, it's subject to which kids are screaming at the time. ;)
