Hello!
I recently did the whole life cycle butterfly thing at tyhe school I work at and one of the butterflies didn't make it. I would really love to make it into a beautiful pendant and earrings but I'm not sure whats the best way to do this. Can anyone help me?
Thanks!

You could try casting it in resin, although resin casting can be tricky until you get the hang of it. You can find resin at most large craft stores- make sure the directions are easy to understand, since the mixing ratios vary by brand.
Or, maybe you could laminate them? It would be easier and a lot cheaper.
Maybe practice on some tissue paper first.

would resin damage the wings? I did think about laminating but I wanted to show the children and they are VERY heavy handed.

oh and just for the record - the butterfly died of its own accord. I do not agree with killing butterflies.

I've seen a few butterfly pendants etc on here but where I live (England) we just dont seem to make the most of dead things like other countries seem to!

Keep it for your private collection. Making butterfly wing jewelry might encourage less scrouplous people to kill butterflies for their wings.
