"Because of an unfortunate experience I am having with a customer, I will no longer be doing any custom work."

I just declared this in a convo to someone who requested a custom order..

I am Such an idiot. NEVER, I repeat, NEVER do anything to be "nice" when it comes to your business! You would not believe what I'm dealing with!!

I am so sorry it has happened to you. I have requested lots of custom work but I always try to pay everything promptly and have had lots of convos going back and forth to the person who is doing the work. I just spent $150 on an order and I am looking forward to receiving it.

Do what you are comfortable doing. I only do custom work, but that's me. You have to do what feels right for you. And, btw...Your work is awesome!

I used to say "No Good Deed Goes Unpunished" and would only be half kidding, BUT then I would have a great experience and no matter how craptastic the bad one was, i would remember that 9/10 people are wonderful. I hope the situation you are in works out for you-remember there is a special place in hell for bad customers. Hang in there.

yeah...that's not good. Is it something you can still sell though? I'm sure someone will come along!

Then I gave a deep discount because there was only a certain amount of money to be spent...

Yeah I can still sell it but I worked really hard on it and thought I did exactly what was requested...

That's business. I'm sorry for your situation.

I've had people bail out while I was in the process of starting their custom work. Its when I checked back before actually starting the project that I found out that they were just pulling my leg.
