Hi Everyone,

I've decided to start featuring my favorite shops on my blog using Etsy minis for those shops and posting them on the right side of my blog (scroll down on the right).

The only problem is that I wanted to put a 1x1 Gallery Etsy Mini for each store, but I didn't like how the default mini looks, especially when you post 5 or 6 of these in succession. You end up with the text that says "Etsy: Your place to buy & sell all things handmade, Fuzzington.etsy.com"; under every listing, and it just seems seems so repetitive and takes up a lot of room on a blog. So I decided to remove the text underneath it so that I just get the gallery thumbnail.

The new version looks cleaner. I had thought about making an etsy mini with my favorite shops instead because it's easier, but it doesn't give you the control to choose the specific shops you want to display, and the etsy mini has a limit on the number of shops you can post.

I've put details and pictures of the results from this code in my blog:

fuzzington.blogspot.com/2009/07/etsy-mini-custom-code-for-your-blog...

Here is the code that you can use for your blog. Instructions are in the blog entry that I listed. Enjoy!

<blockquote><table style="text-align: center;"><tr><td><object data="https://www.etsy.com/flash/spots/etsy_mini.swf?user_id=7220882&user_name=mydadshands&item_source=shop&item_size=gallery&rows=1&columns=1" width="170" height="178" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"><param value="https://www.etsy.com/flash/spots/etsy_mini.swf?user_id=7220882&user_name=mydadshands&item_source=shop&item_size=gallery&rows=1&columns=1" name="movie"/></object></td></tr></table></blockquote>

CharlottesArt, where in facebook did you try to post it? Unfortunately, a lot of places in facebook do not utilize html. There is, however, an Etsy application that you can put on facebook! When you're in facebook, look up applications and search for Etsy. There is one that will allow you to post your shop items on your profile page. Hope that helps! If anyone else knows how to embed html in facebook, please let us know!

Thanks!
