I am in dire need-

So I opened shop in August and have been doing great. Maintaining a steady pace of production, presence, & sales. The past two weeks I have experienced 2 family deaths and have stepped back from my shop. I feel lost, haven't made a sale and don't know how to get back in the game.

I am posting this, and then I am going to focus on enjoying the rest of the evening. I am hoping a few of you have some advise, wisdom, and POSITIVE ENERGY that I can start my day too tomorrow. It will be beyond appreciated.

I thank you for reading & every response will be individually appreciated-

Wow, I'm not good at wisdom, but I'd like to offer you some (((HUGS)))! I hope each next day eases your pain a little more. I wish you the best of luck.

It is hard getting back up and going, but, when you focus your attention on creating and listing, it gets back up and rolling. :)

Sending you positive thoughts. :)

I will keep you and your family in my prayers. Just take it easy for now. I have dealt with several family deaths so I feel your pain. Take it one day at a time.

I'm sorry to hear about your tough time. Take it easy and allow yourself time to recover. Two of my favorite quotes are, “A sad soul can kill quicker than a germ.” - John Steinbeck and "Success consists of getting up once oftener than you fall down." - Anon. Hope you're feeling better soon! :-)

I have had a very similar situation in the past few months. I ended up closing my shop down for a short while, just until each crisis/death was past the critical days. During that time, I just focused on being there for my family, and letting them be there for me. When I did re-open, about a week later each time, I took it slow - lurked in the forums until I found something that sparked my interest enough to draw me back in. The key for me was to take whatever time I needed, and not worry about my Etsy shop at all.

Best to just take one day at a time--one step then the next-just keep moving. My favorite way to release stress is to go to a goodwill shop--buy ugly dishes --bring them home and throw them at a tree--scream--and then let the sound of breaking dishes heal you. My whole family makes a point of making sure I have a good supply of plates. i have had to deal with cancer and flying dishes have been a blessing. You will be in my prayers--it is easy to see you have a bright heart--your hoops are stunning. Hugs for you.

"The rose is fairest when it is budding new,
and hope is brightest when it dawns from fears."
Walter Scott

Dealing with the death of a loved one can be rough (I know) but it also helps us to appreciate the life we have, and realize that tomorrow is never promised. In that be inspired; dare to dream bigger and work harder.
