stoutdg2...great job! I do hope we can generate some greater enthusiasm for this team. There are over 100 members and not much activity.
I just sold these custom items to a returning buyer:

Thanks Debbie for getting us started. I put a post in the google groups and changed the link group welcome line.

Wow, very nice Joni. I think you have done quite well with that bumps in the road design.

I was just looking through some of the etsybead teams listings (use "etsybead team" for a search term in the etsy search engine)and I came across SimplyRaevyn's store. She specializes in brick stitch. That is the stitch that I have been intrigued with lately. Take a look.

I get very discouraged about my first shop, this one, where I sell my handmade things, but usually just when I wonder whether it's worth it someone buys something. This time it's not a sale, but a contact from a potter whose stuff I love who's wondering about using some of mine with/in some of hers.
I have granddaughters & grandniecesa and almost granddaughters, so I've been playing dolls over the holidays & decided to try designing some jewelry for the 16"+ BJDs, whose clothes & shoes cost more than mine but most of whose available jewelry looks out of proportion to me. Right now it's in the gathering material stages--I need charms that are 1/4" or smaller!
My supplies store, Findings, www.leslietsy.etsy.com continues to do well. For awhile most of my orders were from Europe, but lately they've been more from the south & midwest of the US--and an amazing number of people making their first to 3rd purchases on etsy. I think that's a good sign--maybe they're coming to cruise for supplies, but their cruising will take them elsewhere on etsy too.
I'm part of the Jewish street team, etsyChai, and we've been doing lots of holiday promos. You can check those out on the (surprise) etsyChai blog at blogger. We seem to be getting more hits, but not always more sales.
All of this is interesting and fun, but it cuts into my beading time! WAAH! I have done a few steampunky lockets (not really beading) but that's most of it. But when I get started on these dolls....... Leslie

Hi Leslie,
Thanks for posting here. I was looking through your shop and I found this
www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=5003082
cute little gal. My daughter has something similar to this that she has hanging from her purse. She has several. Each one has some meaning like wisdom, happiness, etc.
I have the same thoughts that you have about closing my handmade shop. But, every few weeks somebody buys something so I leave it open.
I am sure many incorporate each other’s work into their own. I made a necklace out of a huge chunk of turquoise that was wire wrapped into a pendant. I bought it on etsy. I have not sold anything just lately but I have been getting inquiries. I am working with someone from the Netherlands on a couple of items, some one wants to buy four of my stretch bracelets, and some one just asked for additional pictures of another bracelet. So maybe that is all good.

Leslie,
I had to google BJDs to find out what they might be. Ball Jointed Dolls I assume. I have never heard of them. Making jewelry for such dolls is a great idea. You are thinking. It sounds like making the clothes for the dolls would be a good idea too.
