Does anybody feel this way? I think that I've tried it all, but it just isn't working for me? Any suggestions, I'm heading out for an hour , but I'll check this thread when I get back, looking for answers. I have success other places, but not here, it's so bizarre! Thanks to all who take the time to send me a quick idea or suggestion, smiles, Amanda

Your shop is really cute!
I think it's all about promoting yourself here on Etsy.
Get in the forums, use Twitter, set up a Flickr account and join some groups there.
You really have to get your name out there in order for people to come to your shop.

wow! your work is lovely.

i haven't seen your shop before though, do you promote both on and off etsy?

i sell jewellery and its hard to get noticed - takes a lot of time and effort

I sell, but only a couple of items a week on Etsy. But when buyers see my items in person they sell, sell, sell.

No ideas here, since I blog and Facebook, which hasn't really helped with picking up any sales here. Majority of my buyers are first time buyers who signed up the same day.

Maybe if you framed your artwork you could sell it like that...just an idea. Great prices and nice artwork though. Good Luck

I wouldn't call 75 sales not working at all. Maybe you should be a little clearer what you're selling in your shop announcement. I think your illustrations are wonderful...but personally, I don't really know what "illustration" means. a print? digital graphic? an example of what you can do? That's just me, but I was just a little confused by your shop. Also, it kinda bugs me when there's multiple empty sections on the side. Just more visuals to wade through.

If you're advertising and promoting your Etsy shop, and still seeing little return, then by all means, go to where the money is! If my prints sold great in one place but not another, I wouldn't waste my time. :)

I love your work! You are very talented, so I can see how you are having success in your other venues! :)

How often do you list, relist, or renew items?? That does make a big difference. I do any one of the three 3x a day every day. That adds up to about $18.00 a month. Pretty cheap advertising if you ask me. ;)

It's the only thing that I do to get noticed really, because FB, Twitter and all that is still very new to me.

You shop is lovely! It may help to add more items. The more stuff you have listed the better chance you will be found. I hearted "swallow play" and will use it in a treasury of mine. I am in love with it :)

Cute shop. I noticed you had 75 sales? That works out to about 3 per month from 2008. I think that's about what you can expect on etsy if you don't 'work' your shop daily. It's very competitive here in your category. For you, I think it's not only about new buyers but also repeat buyers and that will take some time to build.

I also noticed you only have 15 items listed. That's not many to compete in your category. Relisting is a must when you have so few items and intermittent sales.
