I saw different answers on different sites. Anyone know for sure?

Depends on what the fiber content is, how tightly it is woven, the actually twist and loop of the weave, etc. Virtually all cotton terries will shrink... but the thinner, cheaper ones will shrink a LOT.

It will shrink. Pre wash. Also if you wash in cold water and line dry you get significantly less shrinkage, not to mention you can preserve the fibers longer.

yes, it is cotton and it will shrink. I would suggest washing and putting in the dryer and then it won't shrink anymore
