SET OF 4 TOWEL RINGS

The napkin ring is an everyday object that is one of the essentials! It allows you to use cloth napkins at the table without the risk of taking someone else's napkin. The use of cloth towels is a very simple ecological gesture and generates less waste, that's all we are looking for!
The shape is simple and geometric, a regular ring, with a slightly flat side that highlights the material and reveals the texture of the leaves.

Considered as waste in the urban space, the Dryade collection revalues dead leaves through functional objects. These leaves are here reused and revalued rather than burned and become a non-destructive and sustainable resource of nature. We make these objects by hand by combining the dried leaves and a composite material based on gypsum and aqueous acrylic liquid without solvent and VOC. Robust and fire resistant, we protect our parts with an odorless varnish that is safe for humans.

We are Donia Ouertani and Nolwenn Michéa, two young designers and work together in the Foghar studio, a creative studio located in Lyon.

Maintenance:

Clean with a damp cloth or sponge and dry with a dry cloth. Not suitable for dishwasher or microwave. Our material is porous, so it is recommended to clean immediately in case of stains.


Warning:

This object was made by us, by hand, and from a material containing crushed tree leaves. It is therefore possible that the object has some air bubbles. Also, slightly darker spots may also be present because we use a natural French pigment (Roussillon ochre) in powder form.

Objects in the same collection may have imperfections and slight differences in colour and/or surface appearance. These objects should not be considered as dishes, but can be used to arrange and present food (e.g. nuts, fruit cups).
We sand the underside of our objects to further reveal the crushed leaves. A vegetable oil is then applied, then a varnish on the entire room to protect the object and the surfaces hosting it. The difference in hue is therefore normal and visible in the product photos.


Packaging:

Our packaging is recyclable and manufactured in France and/or recovered from companies in order to avoid excess waste and follow a responsible approach.
The cardboard boxes are recovered from French brands, before they go to the dumpster, to give them a second life!
To protect our pieces inside the packages, we use biodegradable tissue paper and paper or cardboard padding that is recyclable and recovered from local businesses, before it is thrown away.


Returns:

Each piece being made by hand, we can not ensure returns except in the case where the object ordered turns out to be damaged or broken. If necessary, please contact us upon receipt of the order with supporting photos. Thank you for your understanding.
