▪ Caring for your jewelry ▪
We use solid 925/1000 silver of very good quality. Above plating with pure silver 999/1000. All jewelry has an anti-tarnish treatment.
This doesn't mean the jewelry won't tarnish, but it does mean that any tarnishing will occur at a much slower rate than some type of silver.
Tarnishing is a normal, chemical reaction of metal. Here are the causes. Humidity: avoid storing your jewelry in the bathroom. Sweat: Skin acidity can accelerate dullness. Air: Contact with air can accelerate tarnishing. Bleach and sulphur: do not enter the pool or spring bath with silver jewelry.
An easy and environmentally friendly way to keep your jewelry looking new and shiny is to clean it with a soft cloth dampened with a cleaning product or jewelers' duster.
To make jewel brushed as at purchase, it is ideal to have it cleaned by a jeweler. But at home you can use spontex. Scratch the jewel with this one. Steel wool gives a similar look.
