Spreadsheet QA Checker Python Script, CSV Data Quality Tool

Spreadsheet QA Checker v1.0 is a lightweight Python tool that reviews compatible CSV files and produces a clear, row-by-row report of issues needing attention. It runs locally on your computer, requires no subscription, and does not upload your spreadsheet anywhere.

IMPORTANT: PYTHON 3 IS REQUIRED

This is a Python source-code tool, not a standalone desktop application. Buyers should be comfortable running a provided command in Terminal, Command Prompt, or VS Code.

WHAT THE CHECKER IDENTIFIES

• Blank or missing values
• Duplicate Customer IDs
• Invalid email formats
• Quantities that are not positive whole numbers
• Leading or trailing whitespace
• Inconsistent name capitalization
• Duplicate Name and Email combinations
• Malformed CSV structure

WHAT YOU RECEIVE

All four files are delivered inside one ZIP folder.

REQUIRED CSV HEADERS

Your CSV must contain these four headers:

• Customer ID
• Name
• Email
• Quantity

Additional columns are allowed, but these four required headers must be present.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Download and unzip the package.
2. Place your CSV file in the same folder as the Python script.
3. Run the command shown in the included README.
4. Review the row-by-row findings.
5. Correct the flagged values in your spreadsheet.

The checker reports possible issues but does not automatically edit or clean your CSV. Your original file remains unchanged.
