useful information regarding purchase and use:

1. wool felt in general
wool felt is a pure and natural product. the fibers used in wool felt are subject to natural fluctuations.
--->> due to production-related tolerances in density, thickness and width.
--->> corresponding deviations in the material is possible.
wool is a renewable raw material. furthermore skin-friendly, permeable to air, sound-absorbing, heat and cold-insulating and dirt-repellent due to its natural fat content.

based on current research results at the GERMAN WOOL RESEARCH INSTITUTE (DWI) at the RWTH AACHEN e.V. it is considered secure that the use of wool fibers in home textiles chemically decomposes and binds air pollutants such as formaldehyde or nitrogen oxides and by that contributes to the improvement of indoor air quality. practical trials of up to 8 years confirmed a long-term effect as well.

2. vegetables
wool felt contains different amount of vegetables depending on the quality. vegetables are small residues of plants which remain in small quantities after the process of washing and possible processes of carbonization of raw wool. these residues can appear on the surface of the finished good. german designer felts and colour felts contain small quantities only.
vegetables emphasize the uniqueness of the material wool felt and is not a reason for complaint!

3. colour
slight fluctuations in colour and melange are unavoidable. exact colour matching can not be guaranteed!
a uniform appearance can be ensured with wool felt from one production or from the same roll only.
please pay attention to the matter that colours may appear different on different monitors.

in short --->> for adhering dry dirt such as dust:
--->> it is possible to gently brush the wool felt objects using a lint roller or carefully and gently vacuum the items to remove dust & crumbs from the surface.
if soiled by damp dirt:
--->> it is possible to gently clean the wool felt objects using a neutral re-fattening eco-detergent a soft sponge or cloth and lukewarm water in order to clean dried stains. the natural fat content of the wool is not reduced and the natural stain protection and look and feel is maintained. do not rub or wring during cleaning. remaining liquid should be taken away by using a dry cloth or towel.

tip --->> if the felt has become really wet please pay attention to slowly air-dry the wool felt objects on a flat surface on top of a towel. wool needs time to dry. then if necessary use a steam iron with moderately warm temperature and gently steam the felt to smooth the surface.

buranfelt - merino wool felt is high quality german-milled felt and has been tested and dyed according to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® ( in detail: felts made of 100% wool, white and dyed in different colours, produced by using materials certified according to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® ) as well as satisfies the REACH and EN71 regulations.

the above mentioned good meets the human-ecological requirements of the standard presently established for products with direct contact to skin. the certified good fulfills the requirements of ANNEX XVII of REACH (incl. the use of azo-dyes, nickel, etc) as well as the american requirement regarding total content of lead in childern's articles ( CPSIA; with the exception of accessories made from glass).

6. products
buranfelt offers fine merino wool felt fabric by meter / yard as well as felt rolls and felt sheets in different sizes.
buranfelt wool felt is evenly thick and dense.
kindly note that nothing is pre-cut. the wool felt is cut as requested. no returns available.

wool felt items are exclusively made to order. unless otherwise noted, please allow buranfelt up to four days to create, pack up and ship your order. we genuinely handcraft each product in germany.
individually manufactured items. sales are as is and are final. no returns.

please clarify any question about the item before buying.
the agreement signed by the buyer shall be binding. for orders over the internet, the dispatch of the order is binding.

slight variations in colour, shape and material can not be excluded, each article is manufactured separately. please also bear in mind that any colour variations can occur due to screen settings.
buranfelt handles the fulfillment of sales personally, each order is packed carefully.

7. pricing
by default prices are noted in net value. no VAT applied. orders are charged in € (euro).

8. payment
orders are processed through a secure checkout system provided by etsy. it offers the latest ssl encryption technology available up today.
payment must be received within one week after your order.

9. privacy
buranfelt saves at the time of order address data and for processing the order, the order-related data. buranfelt committing itself naturally to form a comprehensive protection of personal data under the provisions of the BUNDESDATENSCHUTZ-GESETZES according to GERMAN LAW. the data will not be disclosed to third parties. the agreement of supply concluded with buranfelt is subject to GERMAN LAW in all cases.

10. guarantee
buranfelt guarantees the quality and performance of our products. each item is designed and genuinely handcrafted with great attention. should it still break due to defect, please contact us within six weeks from the date of purchase and please provide meaningful photos of the defect.
products damaged through wear and tear, misuse or neglect lose their warranty.

11. shipping
buranfelt shipps internationally*! kindly not our terms regarding germany, EU and international*. your goods will be shipped after successful payment is recieved.
no delivery is made on sundays and public holidays.
if you have ordered articles with different delivery times we will ship your goods all together unless a different agreement with you is made. therefore please pay attention to longer delivery times.
shipping costs are flat rate.

shipping will be done via GERMAN POST or DHL (national and international).
item will be send as registered mail or insured package to ensure you can track your order.
