COROKIA is a shrub native to New Zealand. With its tangled branches it lends itself well to size in bonsai. Its small green leaves are silverinated in the underside. It blooms with small yellow flowers.
The model on sale is 50cm tall.

With this little tree you bring a Maori atmosphere into the house. The contrast between the zig zag branches and the benevolent roundness of the ball is very aesthetic.

Inside, it will be well in front of a window exposed to the east or west. It needs good light but direct sunlight can dry out the foam quickly.

In winter, keep the plant fresh, so it will slightly lose its leaves. Then keep the mixture just moist, without letting it dry out completely. Resume more abundant watering from March.

What is a kokedama?

Kokedama by definition is a plant in a sphere surrounded by moss.
The foam is 100% natural and its weaving helps to retain the substrate.

The plant has many roots, which are fed by a nutritious substrate and water. A complement of clay and humic soil allows to store the water and make it available to the plant according to its needs.

How to water?
Signs of water need are easy to observe.
- The ball becomes light.
- The foam is dry to the touch.
To keep a moss well green, it is advisable to spray the ball with little mineral water (rainwater, little limestone water), tiedy, regularly. Every 2 days, see several times a day above 30oC of room temperature.

In addition, the plant's water supply. 2 solutions:
- Put water in the plate or hollow dish that is its permanent support. You can also place the ball on a bed of pebbles that you keep moist.
- Completely immerse the ball for 2 minutes in a bowl until it sinks. Drain excess water for a few seconds before putting it back inflated on its holder.
