Knitting Pattern: Classic V-Neck Vest, Comfortable Fit, Beginner to Intermediate, Sweater Vest, Instant Download

This vest pattern was fun. I loved the way mine turned out and the new challenge of learning to knit in intarsia. I would note that I used one of the suggested yarns (wool and the gang - feeling good) and the suggested needle size was way too big and loose. I ended up using 6.5 mm needles on the ribbing and 8mm needles for the body and the dimensions fit well.

the first time I made it, it turned out way larger than expected, Im not sure why! So i had to edit the patten a bit. overall I love it!

Great pattern, very easy to read! I think the yarn I used was the wrong gauge, so it was a bit wide in the shoulders, so I'm adding sleeves, but I am going to use it again for an actual sweater vest. Worth it for the v neck part alone :) Thank you for a very fun project :)

I knitted this sweater vest in a size small, but it ended up being way too big for me. I decided to unravel and start over, but I basically had to re-write the pattern to make the vest narrower and shorter. Also I wish the pattern was more specific about things like making the ribbed neckline and armholes. It would’ve been nice to see how many stitches you should pick up for those. The video made to go along with it was ok, but it kinda of rushed through explaining things. This was the first garment I ever knitted and it was a little frustrating, but I learned a lot from the process and I like the way the sweater vest looks now.
