Mi tienda nació con la sencilla idea de apoyar a niños y personas con discapacidades de todos los orígenes, a través de mis propios hijos (además, quería algo que me pareciera bonito, aunque no quiero decir que esas sencillas tarjetas del alfabeto no tengan ningún valor, ¡al contrario!). Tengo dos hijos de 4 y 2 años que son como esponjas, y este es el momento perfecto para que se concentren en aprender el alfabeto. No solo están aprendiendo el alfabeto inglés, sino que también reconocen el animal, la acción o el objeto que representa cada letra. Soy una apasionada de los animales y escritora, así que espero que cuando las familias vean mi trabajo reconozcan el sentimiento que intento plasmar en cada tarjeta o imagen. Porque no se trata solo de aprender, también se trata de contar una historia.
Poco después de crear muchísimas tarjetas del alfabeto, surgió mi interés por crear imágenes para adultos, jóvenes y personas mayores. Algo único y hermoso para imprimir y colgar en las paredes (porque creo que podemos tener arte hermoso y asequible colgado en nuestras paredes). En mi tienda pueden ver mis cosas favoritas: mi animal favorito, dónde crecí y lo que considero hermoso. Aunque no sean tendencia ni del gusto de todos, soy yo y me gusta crear imágenes para mí y para quienes comparten la necesidad de que su espacio esté lleno de color y arte que invite a la reflexión.

My shop started with a simple idea of supporting children and those with disabilities of all different backgrounds, by way of my own children (Plus, I wanted something that I felt was beautiful to look at too - though not to say that those simple Alphabet Cards hold no value, quite the contrary!). I have a 4 and 2 year old currently that are little sponges and this is the perfect time to really hone in on their learning of the alphabet. Not only are they learning the English Alphabet, but also recognizing the animal, action, or object that the Alphabet letter is portraying. I am an animal enthusiast at heart and writer, so I hope that when families view my work that they recognize the feeling that I try to capture in each card or image. Because it's not just about learning, it's about telling a story too.
Not long after creating MANY MANY alphabet cards came an interest in creating images for the adults, the young people, and the elderly. Something unique and beautiful to print and put up on walls (because I believe we can have beautiful AND affordable art hung up on our walls). In my shop you can see my own favorite things - my favorite animal, where I grew up, and what I feel is beautiful. Though they may not be trendy or everyone's 'cup of tea' it's me, and I like to create images for myself and those who share a need for their space to be full of color and thought provoking art.
