Annonce   Hello, Just to say that my shop will be closed until the 9th Jan, Happy New Year!

Irish Jewelry, necklaces, rings, earrings, brooches, bracelets, and custom made individual items. I have worked with my hands all my working life and I need to make things. I first became aware of the shared heritage between Ireland and Scotland when I visited the Orkney Islands (off the NE coast of Scotland, highly recommended, lovely people!)
When I went to live on the Isle of Man, and had the good fortune to learn how to make jewellery, and in parallel, explore the rich cultural heritage of the Island, - the impressive collections in the Manx Museum, the introduction to the works of Archibald Knox and the stone carvings that have existed there for over a thousand years, it changed me profoundly. Then there is the Sea- the highway to everywhere else. The sea isolates but it also allows trade, and the Sea brought the Vikings, and their arrival changed the Island forever, as it did in Scotland and Ireland . The Celtic world was superimposed on the peoples that inhabited western Europe, The Vikings have left their mark everywhere they touched. Astoundind works of Celtic art exist -The Book Of Kells for example -
I need to explore this world and I also need to make things. My connection with this inspirational world is through the Jewellery I make.

All orders will be dispatched as soon as possible, by secure post and come packaged in individual jewellery boxes.

Hallmarking has been finalised, and I now have a registered Makers Mark, with the Assay office in Saumur, France. French law states that any silver item weighing over 30grams must be Hallmarked, and over 3 Grams in Gold, below this the items will bear my makers mark and 925 for Sterling Silver, 375, 750,for 9ct and 18ct Gold respectively

I hope to be able to offer 'one off' individual items from time to time, and if anyone has their own idea or a design that they would like to translate into a piece of jewellery, feel free to contact me, but it will have to be as time allows.
Thanks for taking the time to have a look, I hope that You like what You see...... John
