Handicraft inspired by nature
When I was five years old, I began learning how to make stuff using my own hands and simple tools. Later, I studied Fine Art in art school. Nature photography is another hobby of mine, through which I've observed and learned about birds and plants.
For years I've enjoyed the minimalism of Japanese craftsmanship, the simplicity of their traditional art. This inspired me to create these wooden painted birds, drawing on my skills and observations to construct them with realistic recognizable features that can be appreciated by people who, like me, enjoy birdwatching. Some of my subjects are extremely rare or completely unique models for figurines; for instance, you won't find many depicting Japanese White-eyes.
My store is new, so I don't yet have many items for sale. Please contact me with custom orders if you would like a bird not shown here; I can create one for you with a similar body style to these. It usually takes about three days to complete a custom order once all details are negotiated. If your country is not listed among the available for delivery, we could also discuss that in any specific case.
