Made in at home sums up my way of creating, in the small sewing corner of my apartment-workshop, in a small town in the Province, very close to Switzerland. I use all kinds of materials and fabrics that I china everywhere, from Paris to Sydney through a market in Provence or an old trunk in an attic. Imitation, leather, silk, linen, cotton, coated canvases, ribbons, piping, everything I like, everything I find beautiful and pleasant to the touch. I happened to buy freshly woven silk in front of me, on Koh Dach (Silk Island) a small strip of land in the middle of the Mekong, off Phnom Penh in Cambodia. Or to bring back cotton with Aboriginal prints from Alice Springs, in the middle of the Australian bush... my way of doing fair trade, as much as possible. I then work according to the inspiration of the moment, and rarely know in advance what the day will make me create. I work mainly by creating the patterns myself according to my own needs or those of my loved ones. If I like it I can then embark on mini series.

Made in chez moi résume ma façon de créer, dans le petit coin couture de mon appartement-atelier, dans une petite ville de Province, tout près de la Suisse. J’utilise toutes sortes de matières et de tissus que je chine de partout, de Paris à Sydney en passant par un marché de Provence ou une vieille malle dans un Grenier. Simili, cuir, soie, lin, coton, toiles enduites, rubans, passepoils, tout ce qui me plaît, tout ce que je trouve beau et agréable au toucher. Il m’est arrivée d’acheter de la soie fraîchement tissée devant moi, sur Koh Dach (l’île de la Soie) une petite langue de terre au milieu du Mekong, au large de Phnom Penh au Cambodge. Ou de ramener du coton avec des imprimés aborigènes d’Alice Springs, au milieu du bush australien… ma façon à moi de faire du commerce équitable, dans la mesure du possible. Je travaille ensuite selon l’inspiration du moment, et sais rarement à l’avance ce que la journée va me faire créer. Je travaille principalement en créant moi-même les patrons selon mes propres besoins ou ceux de mes proches. Si cela plaît je peux me lancer ensuite dans des minis séries.
