Ho redatto il mio primo tema natale all'università, perché un'amica mi aveva scommesso che l'astrologia non si limitava agli oroscopi dei giornali. Aveva ragione. Ho passato i successivi anni a imparare a leggere i temi natali nel modo tradizionale, con vere effemeridi e un sacco di appunti scarabocchiati. Alla fine sono diventata abbastanza brava da indurre le persone a chiedermi di leggere anche i loro.

Quindici anni dopo, mi emoziono ancora quando apro un nuovo tema natale. Ognuno è diverso, e credo che sia proprio questo che mi ha spinto a continuare. Utilizzo le Effemeridi Svizzere per tutti i miei calcoli perché la precisione è fondamentale quando si mappa il cielo di qualcuno. E scrivo ogni lettura a mano perché non sono mai riuscito a creare un modello che catturi ciò che rende interessante un tema natale.

Se in passato ti sei fatta fare una lettura e hai avuto la sensazione che potesse riguardare chiunque, questa volta sarà diversa. Non perché stia cercando di dirti quello che vuoi sentirti dire, ma perché la matematica non mente e nemmeno io.

I pulled my first birth chart in college because a friend bet me there was more to astrology than newspaper horoscopes. She was right. I spent the next few years learning to read charts the traditional way, with real ephemeris tables and a lot of scribbled notes. Eventually I got good enough that people started asking me to read theirs.

Fifteen years later, I still get excited when I open a new chart. Every one is different, and I think that's what kept me coming back. I use the Swiss Ephemeris for all my calculations because precision matters when you're mapping someone's sky. And I write every reading by hand because I've never been able to make a template capture what makes a chart interesting.

If you've gotten a reading before and felt like it could've been about anyone, this one will feel different. Not because I'm trying to tell you what you want to hear, but because the math doesn't lie and neither do I.
