This is an absolute gem of an instrument! Fine craftsmanship, she's got a lovely voice. Work was done before projected time given, shipping was fast, instrument very well cased and padded. Thank you so much! She already sings in my home and heart! Blessings upon you and yours. :)

The creation of my custom piece was a wonderfully collaborative process which resulted in a beautiful work of art that will grace my home for years to come. Every thing about the instrument, from bow to case, are high quality - not a single penny went to waste. I cannot recommend this master crafter enough :)

Amazing. Such a beautiful instrument. Arrived safely packed nicely in a wooden box. I love it so much.

I really recommend getting a case if you don’t have a good storage/transportation alternative for the lyre. This one is well made, padded on all sides. Has stiffness on the outside. Zipper opens smoothly and does not catch.

I opted for a seven string nylgut, and asked for darker colour and reversed tuning (left handed). While Covid did slow down shipping in my country, the luthiers had very good communication and updates on the completion and dispatch of the lyre. The sound of the lyre is beautiful, and exactly what I was looking for. It is easy to tune and a well made instrument!

WOW this Johiko is amazing! Aesthetically beautiful, plays well, sounds great, holds the tuning well, durably made. Also it came in a wooden box/case that can be used indefinitely to carry and store the Johiko in. Came with everything, strings, bow, etc. Great communication from the seller on how to tune it, etc. Excellent communication from the seller. I very highly recommend this instrument and this seller.

Absolutely fabulous, I can't speak highly enough of Nikolas and his craftsmanship, He has gone above and beyond to craft me such a beautiful instrument, answered all of my questions and it sounds fantastic. If you want a talharpa he is the man for the job. Nikolas, thank you so much ✋✨🤚

The quality of the instrument is very good. There is roughness here and there, but it adds to the feeling of a folk instrument and doesn't bother me. The sound is amazing and it's really fun to experiment on this wonderful instrument! I'll definitely buy from Nikolaj again and wholeheartedly can recommend you do to.
who we are
The Crossroad - musical instrument workshop was founded at the end of 2013 on the northern shore of the Black Sea. From those times to this day, we are engaged in the manufacture of a wide variety of wind, plucked, and bowed musical instruments.
The instruments of our workshop delight their owners in all parts of Europe, Asia and America.
In the making of any musical instruments, we primarily focus on sound quality.
We select the perfect, dry, knot-free and flawless tree for the body of instruments. We use the first-class spruce of the Carpathian mountains for the tops of the instruments, which guarantees excellent sound and acoustic properties.
We use only natural materials for gluing and finishing the instruments, which guarantee excellent protection of the instruments and preservation of acoustic properties.
Our workshop offers a fairly wide range of instruments, but this does not mean that we are limited to them. We can make a instrument according to your drawing, photo, picture. We can make a reconstruction or come up with an absolutely incredible instrument for you that no one has and nobody had.
