Empecé a coser cuando era una niña. Me despertaba una hora antes de tomar el autobús y me hacía un par de pantalones (de sábanas vintage, podría agregar) antes de irme a la escuela. La reacción en los rostros de las personas encendió el fuego en mi alma.
Cuando me casé y me mudé a los Estados Unidos, comencé a hacer bolsos, clutches, bolsas de pañales y accesorios para mujeres. Los vendí en mi primer bazar, me fue bien. Abastecido más para el próximo año, y el siguiente, etc.
Cuando nació nuestra hija Halle, agregué ropa de bebé y tejidos a mano. Poco después de eso, uno de mis favoritos, los mitones de suéter reciclados. Inspirado en colores, estampados y texturas...
¡Tenemos cinco dulces bebés! Nuestra sala de estar es el centro de mi pequeña empresa. Le digo a mi esposo que no es productivo ni creativo si está ordenado. Es divertido, es un caos, es mi vida, todo es una expresión de mí... una colección aleatoria de belleza.
I first started sewing when I was a little girl. I would wake up an hour before I was to catch the bus and I would make myself a pair of pants (out of vintage bed sheets, I might add) before heading off to school. The reaction on peoples faces lit the fire in my soul.
When I got married and moved to the US, I began making handbags, clutches, diaper bags and women's accessories. Sold them at my first bazaar, did well. Stocked up more for the next year, and the next, etc
When our daughter Halle was born, I then added baby clothes and hand knits. Shortly after that one of my favorites, recycled sweater mittens. Inspired by colors, prints and textures...
We have five sweet babes! Our living room is the hub to my small business. I tell my hubby its not productive or creative if it's tidy. It's fun, it's chaos, it's my life, it's all an expression of me... a random collection of beauty.
