Sono una mamma. E un geek. O un nerd. Un ex Band Geek. Tutte queste cose si applicano a me.

Ma torniamo ad essere mamma. Mio marito ed io ora abbiamo due figli. Il nostro primo ha 9 anni e il secondo ne ha 5. I nostri figli sanno chi è Doctor Who e come appare il TARDIS. L'universo di Harry Potter fa parte del loro universo. Quindi sto allevando un buon piccolo geek.

Quando ci aspettavamo nostro figlio è stata una sorpresa. Non ho idea se sarebbe stato una ragazza o un ragazzo. Quindi, quando andavo a fare shopping per le cose per bambini, era tutto l'uno o l'altro. Rosa o Blu. La divisione in prodotti per neonati / bambini mi fa impazzire. Quindi voglio prodotti divertenti che possano funzionare per chiunque. Qualcosa che crescerà con tuo figlio e non sarà infantile in un anno o due.

Adoro i buoni negozi di tessuti e le tonnellate di tessuti divertenti che i designer stanno inventando che non sono super specifici per genere o età. Mi piace fare quello che penso che gli altri vorrebbero perché è quello che cerco quando vado a fare shopping.

I am a mom. And a geek. Or a nerd. A former Band Geek. All of those things apply to me.

But back to being a mom. My husband and I now have two sons. Our first is 9 years old and second is 5. Our kids know who Doctor Who is and what the TARDIS looks like. Harry Potter universe is part of their universe. So I am raising a good little geeks.

When we were expecting our son came as a surprise. No idea if he was going to be a girl or a boy. So when I went shopping for baby stuff it was all one or the other. Pink or Blue. The split in baby/kids products drives me crazy. So I want fun products that can work for anyone. Something that will grow with your child and not be babyish in a year or two.

I love good fabric stores, and the tons of fun fabrics designers are coming up with that are not super gender or age specific. I like to make what I think others would like because it is what I am on the look out for when I go shopping.

So with the help of my family, I present Geek Out Sewing.
