April växte upp med att leka med älvor och jaga fjärilar i den lilla staden Prattville, Alabama. Att simma i Alabamafloden, dricka sött te och äta stekt okra var världens gång. Magi utspelade sig i skogarna och de gamla mossiga träden. Drakar bekämpades och besegrades och prinsessor med böljande hår räddades från höga torn.
I Aprils konst omformulerar hon världen på ett mer levande och magiskt sätt. Hon skapar verk som lyfter fram det goda i livet med fokus på vackra blommor och växter, djur och varelser – verkliga och inbillade, och det fantastiska. Hon berättar historier från imaginära platser inspirerade av världen som Gud skapade.

April grew up playing with the fairies and chasing butterflies in the small town of Prattville, Alabama. Swimming in the Alabama river, drinking sweet tea and eating fried okra was the way of the world. Magic happened in the forests and old mossy trees. Dragons were fought and defeated and princesses with flowing hair were saved from tall towers,
In April's art she re-imagines the world in a more vibrant and magical way. She creates work that raises up the good things in life focusing on beautiful flowers and plants, animals and creatures real and imagined and the fantastical. She tells stories from imaginary places inspired by the world God created.
