About CuirVagabond

Sales 960
On Etsy since 2017

Hello everyone, I am Julie, leather craftsman since 2014

The leathers I use are natural, that is to say that no finishing product comes to cover the flower of the leather. The creations will therefore patina and nuance over time. One can observe the grain, wrinkles and natural imperfections of the skin. This does not alter the solidity and makes your bag a unique and authentic piece that will evolve and improve over the years.
It is a full-grain cowhide labeled "Naturleder" and "E.C.A.R.F":

the labels provide the guarantee that:

- the cows from which the skins come have been raised outdoors, have had a healthy diet and are selected near the tannery.

- No allergenic or toxic products are used during the entire processing process,

- the tanning of leather is vegetable, that is to say that the skin is transformed into leather with tannins extracted from plants (while 90% of leathers in the world are tanned with chromium (allergenic and toxic mineral tannin)),

- the dye is made from natural pigments,

- the tannery is heated by solar energy and is subject to recycling and water treatment.

- Finally, the Naturleder standard includes social requirements in favour of tannery employees: respect for employees' rights, no forced labour, no excessive working hours, no child labour, freedom of association, right to organise and bargain collectively, safety at work, payment of decent wages
