Made in Chez Moi !
I took over my father's jewellery business in 2014. I already had some knowledge about brass and copper work beforehand and etching it with aqua fortis ("eau forte" in French) had added a new dimension to this exploration.
I love to spend time in my studio, as well as in my shop in Domfront, Normandy. My creative work is inspired by the natural world : plants, animals, natural geometry, as well as literature and fantasy, and the many different cultures and eras that resonate with me.
I work with a large amount of stamping material, raw brass and copper elements, and try to turn it into a variety of jewells and objects. I work mostly with brass and silver. All my jewellery is silver-plated in Paris by a professional craftsman.
This shop is called Le Saule Rieur ("Laughing Willow") in French. This is a pun because our daughter is named Willow.
Welcome here and have a lovely exploration !

Coline
Owner, Maker, Designer
I have always worked with my hands. I worked in stainglass restauration for about 10 years (churches, cathedrales, etc), but due to a back injury I had to stop. Later on, I took over my father's business and started to work with brass and copper.

Frequently asked questions
Sizing details
* Ring sizes : it is necessary to know your ring size since the rings are not adjustable
* Allergies : I don't use nickel, chromium, nor glue. All the jewels are silver-plated or gilded (except if you specially ask otherwise).
Gift wrapping and packaging
All my creations are put in a cardboard wrapping and a gift bag, and protected by a padded envelope. The package is sent as priority mail with a tracking number.
Packages are sent out from France as a priority mail and with a tracking number. However, it can take up to 21 days to arrive in your country if you order from outside Europe.
Care instructions
* All my creations are silver and can be cleaned as if it were solid silver (soapy water, toothpaste, shaving foam, etc.).* It is best to never leave jewelry in your bathroom.* If you tend to blacken silver or silvering, use a cloth type "chamois skin" or in a slightly rough cotton and rub vigorously to restore its shine to the jewel.* If the silver layer begins to fade over time (several years in general, it varies depending on your skin nature), contact me. Never send your jewelry to be resilvered before sending me a photo of the jewelry so that I can estimate its state of wear.
