Announcement    Between Mont Ventoux and Luberon, welcome to Méthamis, my tiny village, nestled on a peak between mountain and scrubland, which houses my manufacturing workshop.

First of all, a word about cold saponification: cold soap is made with vegetable oils and butters which, mixed with a solution of sodium hydroxide (caustic soda) trigger a chemical reaction: saponification.
We speak of cold saponification the soap paste obtained is not heated. This manufacturing process requires a slow drying, 4 weeks minimum. This time is called "the cure". It also allows the saponification to end and the soap to reach its final PH around 9.

SAF soap is rich in natural glycerin. Nothing to do with Marseille soap, whose soap paste is heated and then rinsed with salt water. This process removes glycerin from soap because it is true that it is not always useful. For laundry, for example, SAF soap tends to clog washing machines. But for our skin, this glycerin is indispensable.
True cold soap is softer and less aggressive to the hydrolipidic film of the skin.
It is perfectly suitable for cleansing the whole body. It replaces shower gel and is more environmentally friendly.

Going back to mine, I make them in small quantities. They all have a 10% over-fat rate.
My soaps are dated, batch-made and traceable, as well as the raw materials that go into their composition.
They are shipped in recycled packaging. Minimizing the manufacturing impact on the environment while maintaining outstanding quality for my soaps is my main goal.
