Hasta el día de hoy, los materiales principales de este televisor artesanal son, de hecho, aquellos días de mudanzas constantes entre habitaciones alquiladas por todo Saigón hace quince años. Un estudiante del campo, cargando una bolsa de ropa azul de malla, un baúl de madera marrón rojizo que me había prestado un amigo y un jarrón amarillo de flores artificiales que parecía totalmente fuera de moda. Todo fue grabado con un teléfono HTC, el primer dispositivo Android del mundo (prestado por un amigo). ¿Lo ves? To this day, the primary materials of this handcrafted TV are actually those days of constantly moving between rental rooms across Saigon fifteen years ago. A student from the countryside, lugging around a blue mesh clothes bag, a brownish-maroon wooden chest from a friend, and a yellow faux flower vase that looked so out of style. I even carried a TV under my arm—one I barely watched. I mostly kept it on just to hear a human voice in the silence of those youthful days, which weren't exactly happy, or maybe they were happy enough—I can't quite remember.
As for that wooden wine box, I use it to keep some 'survival' tools: just a hammer, a pair of pliers, and a screwdriver (even if there was no other furniture to fix).
