I AM...
Jean-Éric REBETÉ, master craftsman jeweler-jeweler based in Salies-de-Béarn (64).
I followed in the footsteps of my grandfather, also a jeweler, and I started creating my first jewelry around the age of 13. Once I had acquired the basic techniques, and my diploma in my pocket, I had the chance to exhibit my first creations at the Centre Beaubourg, in Paris. Participation in many competitions, including the Best Craftsman of France, was very stimulating: it pushed me to imagine new forms, to create new projects, and to renew my sources of inspiration.

WHAT INSPIRES ME...
The pure lines of contemporary architecture, a pattern repeated on an Andalusian wall, the graphic lines on an ethnic fabric, it is in what surrounds us that I find my sources of inspiration.

THE JEWELRY I CREATE...
Gold or silver, adorned with precious stones or fine stones, the jewelry I create is like sculptures with sober lines, elegant curves, with a sometimes bold design.

J’ai mis mes pas dans les pas de mon grand-père, joaillier lui aussi, et j’ai commencé à créer mes premiers bijoux vers l’âge de 13 ans. Une fois acquises les techniques de base, et mon diplôme en poche, j’ai eu la chance d’exposer mes premières créations au Centre Beaubourg, à Paris. La participation à de nombreux concours, dont celui du Meilleur Ouvrier de France, a été très stimulante : elle m’a poussé à imaginer de nouvelles formes, à créer de nouveaux projets, et à renouveler mes sources d’inspiration.

CE QUI M’INSPIRE…
Les lignes pures de l’architecture contemporaine, un motif répété sur un mur andalou, les lignes graphiques sur un tissu ethnique, c’est dans ce qui nous entoure que je trouve mes sources d’inspiration.

LES BIJOUX QUE JE CRÉE…
Or ou argent, orné de pierres précieuses ou de pierres fines, les bijoux que je crée sont comme des sculptures aux lignes sobres, aux courbes élégantes, avec un design parfois audacieux.
