Rustastic

Cuando era un niño fuera de la escuela durante las vacaciones de verano, me dieron la oportunidad de trabajar con mi padre, quien construyó casas para ganarse la vida. Años más tarde, como carpintero que trabajaba en la construcción y remodelación, atesoraba esos días aprendiendo de mi padre.
Ahora, al llegar a trabajar con mi esposa, ambos disfrutamos trabajando juntos en este negocio. Estoy en la tienda trabajando con madera, en la computadora con los clientes y en marketing. Mi esposa se encarga de toda la contabilidad, llegando a nuestros proveedores y más. Ambos disfrutamos de tener el lujo de crear artículos que están bien hechos, funcionales y, con suerte, con estilo. Rustastic obtuvo su nombre de dos palabras, Rústico y Fantástico. Mi esposa y yo pensamos que encajaba bien, así que decidimos mantenerlo.


Esta idea de construir artículos rústicos para el hogar comenzó bajo una cochera. Comenzamos con marcos de fotos, artículos de madera de granero, estantes pequeños y organizadores. Abrimos una tienda en Etsy y eso ayudó a lanzar nuestro negocio a otro nivel. Ahora nos dirigimos hacia nuestra semi-jubilación.

As a young boy out of school during summer vacation, I was given the opportunity to work with my Dad who built houses for a living. Years later as a carpenter working in construction and remodeling, I treasured those days learning from my Dad.
Now, getting to work with my wife, we both enjoy working this business together. I'm in the shop working with wood, on the computer with customers, and marketing. My wife takes care of all the accounting, reaching out to our vendors and more. We both enjoy having the luxury to create items that are well made, functional, and hopefully in style. Rustastic got it's name from two words, Rustic and Fantastic. My wife and I thought it fit well, so we decided to keep it.


This idea of building rustic home items began under a carport. We started with picture frames, barn wood items, small shelves, and organizers. We opened a store on Etsy and that helped launch our business to another level. Now we are heading toward our semi-retirement.
