Announcement
It is the height of summer here in Brittany and the garden is looking lovely although we could do with some rain after all the scorching sunshine. The garden is full of birds and insects. Why not celebrate the season and stitch one or even several of my range of life sized butterflies in fine cross stitch.
Or what about trying one of my crewel work pieces? The wool threads are wonderful to work with and clear stitch diagrams will help you learn a few new stitches. Or you could try Bayeux stitch in soft wools which is surprisingly easy to learn and quick to do. There is a modern tulips in a jug pattern for the more experienced or if you prefer something more traditional there are four designs taken from motifs in the actual tapestry with tips on how to finish and frame the work. I love working in crewel wool and I have several other crewel designs which allow you to try out different stitches, almost as a sampler.
Blackwork is also popular and I have some modern shaded interpretations as well as more traditional pieces. Some even have hints of gold thread. Or why not get ahead of the game and start stitching the gorgeous redwork pumpkin ready for Hallowe'en?
I am very happy to say that all of my designs are now presented in English and French so that all my customers can have the best experience possible!

4 out of 5 starsitem matched description and expectations. good description of the design. What would help is two lines in the design showing the center line/point of the design. In cross stitch, I prefer to start the work from the middle instead of from the borders.

5 out of 5 starsThe instructions look good and are certainly easy to implement. I particularly like the fact that links are given to obtain the materials. This is a very great help.

All my designs are original. I love the traditional techniques but occasionally jazz things up a but as with this heart.

Shirley's little helper is often on hand to "assist" in the design process.

I'm always eager to try out new techniques. This piece is made with a punchneedle.

I love working with colour and texture as these beaded starfish show. Colouring in with beads.
-
I enjoy feltmaking. This little bag started as loose wool fibres which transform magically into fabric in the process.
