Tideworks började med en vana att samla gamla havsmålningar – den typen av stämningsfulla små havsmotiv man hittar i dammiga ramar på dödsboauktioner, målade av människor som uppenbarligen älskade vattnet. De flesta av dem är över ett sekel gamla, och de flesta av dem förtjänar bättre väggar än de de hamnade på.

Så det blev arbetet: att leta upp vacker kustkonst från 1800-talet, restaurera den digitalt – rensa bort slitage, balansera tonerna, matcha färgerna så att en tavelvägg känns samlad istället för kaotisk – och förvandla den till tryckfärdiga filer som vem som helst kan ladda ner och rama in på en eftermiddag.

Allt i butiken kan skrivas ut hemma eller via valfritt tryckeri, i alla standardramstorlekar. Ingen frakt, ingen väntetid – bara gammal konst, nya väggar.

Tideworks started with a habit of collecting old seaside paintings - the kind of moody little seascapes you find in dusty frames at estate sales, painted by people who clearly loved the water. Most of them are over a century old, and most of them deserve better walls than the ones they ended up on.

So that became the work: hunting down beautiful coastal art from the 1800s, restoring it digitally - cleaning up the wear, balancing the tones, matching the colors so a gallery wall feels collected instead of chaotic - and turning it into print-ready files anyone can download and frame in an afternoon.

Everything in the shop is printable at home or through any print shop, in all the standard frame sizes. No shipping, no waiting - just old art, new walls.
