Wie alles begann
How everything started
Trailing Around entstand eigentlich aus meiner Leidenschaft für Fernwanderungen. Seit ich 18 bin, habe ich Wanderwege auf der ganzen Welt erkundet – ich bin durch die Wüsten Jordaniens gewandert, habe Israel durchquert, Neuseeland von Länge zu Länge durchwandert und mich sogar bis nach Lappland vorgewagt. Ich habe unzählige Stunden auf Wanderwegen verbracht.
Unterwegs wurde mir klar, dass man eine Wanderung am besten mit einem Aufnäher auf dem Rucksack feiert – etwas, das die Leistung symbolisiert. Doch für viele Wanderwege wurden die erhältlichen Aufnäher der Schönheit des Weges nicht gerecht. Deshalb begann ich, meine eigenen Aufnäher zu entwerfen.
Die Resonanz war überwältigend. Immer wieder fragten Leute, ob sie auch einen bekommen könnten. Da beschloss ich, meinen Etsy-Shop „Trailing Around“ zu eröffnen. Was als persönliches Projekt begann, hat sich zu einem kleinen Shop entwickelt, in dem Wanderfreunde und Abenteurer Aufnäher finden, die den Geist ihrer Lieblingswanderwege perfekt widerspiegeln.
Ich erstelle nur Aufnäher und Aufkleber für Wanderwege, die ich selbst absolviert habe. So stelle ich sicher, dass jedes Design den jeweiligen Wanderweg wirklich würdigt und widerspiegelt. Dazu gehören:

Jordan Trail (650 km)
Kungsleden (440 km)
Israel National Trail (~ 500 km Negev-Abschnitt)
Libanon-Bergwanderweg (470 km)
Tour du Mont Blanc (170 km)
West Highland Way (150 km)
Schwarzwald (Westen - Mitte - Osten ~ insgesamt 760 km)
Trailing Around actually started from my love for long-distance hiking. Ever since I was 18, I’ve explored trails all over the world-hiking through the deserts of Jordan, trekking across Israel, wandering the lenght of New Zealand and even venturing into Lapland. I’ve spent a lot of time on the trail.
Along the way, I realized that one of the best ways to celebrate completing a hike is with a patch on your backpack, something that marks your achievement. But for many trails, the patches available didn’t do justice to the beauty of the trail itself. So, I started designing my own patches.
The response was amazing. People kept asking if they could get one too. That’s when I decided to open my Etsy shop, Trailing Around. What began as a personal project has grown into a small shop where fellow hikers and adventurers can find patches that truly reflect the spirit of the trails they love.
I only create patches and stickers for trails I have personally completed. This ensures that each design truly honors and reflects the trail it represents. Those include:
