Deze winkel is ontstaan vanuit een simpel, ietwat hardnekkig probleem: ik bleef zoeken naar dingen die zouden moeten bestaan, maar ontdekte steeds dat ze niet bestonden.

Niet allemaal exotische dingen. Gewone dingen, precies gemaakt zoals ik ze wilde hebben, met dat ene detail dat ze daadwerkelijk bruikbaar zou maken. Bijna goed genoeg was overal te vinden. Precies goed was nergens te vinden.

Dus ben ik ze zelf gaan maken. Dat is het hele idee achter What I Like Designs: ik maak de versie die ik niet kon kopen, en zet die dan hier neer voor het geval iemand anders hetzelfde zoekt.

Elke lay-out hier is door mij, regel voor regel, gespecificeerd en vervolgens opnieuw opgebouwd totdat deze correct is.

This shop started with a simple, slightly stubborn problem: I kept looking for things that should exist and finding out they didn't.

Not all exotic things. Ordinary ones, made the specific way I wanted them, with the one detail that would have made them actually useful. Close enough was everywhere. Right was nowhere.

So I started making them myself. That's the whole idea behind What I Like Designs — I make the version I couldn't buy, and then I put it here in case someone else was looking for the same thing.

Every layout here is specified by me, line by line, and then rebuilt until it's right.
