Mon atelier est au cœur du Parc National du Mercantour
From opera singer to mountain ceramist
My name is Mandy Brissi and my visual artist name is LILA. I have always been in a constant quest for the perfect vibration. This quest first led me to become a professional opera singer for many years. And this all over the world. For a decade now, I have been living in the mountains of the Mercantour National Park where I come from.
My quest for vibratory perfection has indeed led me to move away from vocal pyrotechnics to seek the deeper one of silence. Today's society is often full of discordant and intrusive noises. A boiling not conducive to creation. That's why I decided to get closer to more organic and natural vibrations. Only then could I hear again. First, the song of the wind in the leaves of the trees. Then, that of the leaves of the birch which resembles the song of the spring or the river. I could hear insects swarming on sunny days and raptors in the air. Deer in the mating season and wolf hunting. It was then that I was finally able to find the most accurate vibration ever. That of the song of the earth and nature. True original source of my animal ceramics.

And the second moment, the one when the sculpture is just beginning to take shape.Do you do things other than animals?Yes indeed. I like contrasts and I like to tackle urban subjects. I make architectural structures, ceramic towers and I sometimes represent them in oil painting. I created a beautiful range of ceramic handbags as well, inspired by major luxury brands.

The goal is to organize artistic and creative internships in all environments disadvantaged by life circumstances. Art Therapy in short. To bring joy, create links, get seniors out of isolation, consolidate parent-child relationships. To meet, to make people talk, to share, to create cohesion and solidarity in the group. Everything is done so that the time of these nomadic courses (which travel from valley to valley), a maximum of appeasement, refocusing, creative but also psychological support, are brought to the participants. The association works to make its internships free to all people in difficulty.

Are you an Art Therapist?Yes, I worked voluntarily for a long time in singing therapy. I had the opportunity, in the continuity of my work, to direct this activity towards other media. Having already graduated as a ceramist, the earth appeared naturally to me. In addition, my work is supervised and managed by a professional psychologist with his practice in Nice, who is also the president of the Ohlalalila association. If you have any further questions do not hesitate.
