I absolutely LOVED these buttons! I got them to go with some headbands that I made for Christmas gifts, and they worked out fantastically. Gypsytree did a really great job making beautiful, good quality buttons. Definitely recommend this and other products, and will be revisiting this shop/account in the future!

A propos

Off grid in the Junipers

Arizona is a diverse and beautiful state but my favorite area is where I grew up: in the pinion and juniper trees. That is where my husband and I decided to buy 10 acres and build an off the grid house. We moved into a tent on the property. 3 years later and we can say the house is *almost* done!
We had a lot of juniper branch trimmings from clearing areas for the house, garden, and chicken coop so I decided to make something beautiful, and my business was born! All my products are produced with solar power and all wood is harvested directly off our property from branch trimmings, or from other people's woodcutting trimmings nearby.

THE NATURE OF WOOD:

I dry my wood logs and slices before and after cutting, depending on the wood and the item being cut. This is to ensure that the wood will not crack significantly when cut. However, wood can change with temperature and humidity. It can warp and crack. It can even crack after being dried for a long time, depending on conditions. Please don't expose it to direct sunlight, keep it in plastic bags or sealed containers, or expose to high moisture.
