L'Atelier du Chas Pitre was born from a desire to live from a passion, mixed with the desire to fly on my own wings while expressing myself through creation.

I was brought to leather work out of a passion for the fantastic and imaginary worlds that have rocked me since i was very young, and I was captivated by this material, vegetable tanning leather, which offers almost infinite possibilities. In my opinion, it is a noble medium, a blank page, which can be modeled, shaped, sculpted and tinted according to your wishes, to obtain wonderful unique and durable objects.
What the mind imagines, the hands and the heart shape it thanks to this beautiful material... this is the role of the craftsman.

I made the choice to carry out a work entirely by hand, without machine or artifice and in the respect of the gestures of this ancient profession, with as a favorite material the natural vegetable tanning leather (leather tanned from bark and tannins vegetable and untinted, ancestral and ecological process).

Nature and its elements, mythologies as well as legendary and fantastic universes guide and inspire my creations to transform into costume accessories, leather goods, or even a decorative element. I also work tailor-made and to order.

L'Atelier du Chas Pitre est né d'une envie de vivre d'une passion, mêlé au désir de voler de mes propres ailes tout en m'exprimant par la création.

J'ai été amené au travail du cuir par passion pour les univers fantastiques et imaginaires qui me bercent depuis mon plus jeune âge, et j'ai été envoûté par cette matière, le cuir tannage végétal, qui offre des possibilités quasi infinies. Il s'agit selon moi d'un support noble, d'une page blanche, que l'on peut modeler, façonner, sculpter et teinter selon ses souhaits, pour obtenir de merveilleux objets uniques et durables.
Ce que l'esprit imagine, les mains et le cœur le façonnent grâce à cette belle matière...c'est ici le rôle de l'artisan d'art.

J'ai fait le choix de d'effectuer un travail intégralement à la main, sans machine ni artifice et dans le respect des gestes de cet ancien métier, avec pour matière de prédilection le cuir tannage végétal naturel (cuir tanné à partir d'écorces et de tanins végétaux et non teinté, procédé ancestral et écologique).

La nature et ses éléments, les mythologies ainsi que les univers légendaires et fantastiques guident et inspirent mes créations pour se transformer en accessoires de costumes, de maroquinerie, ou encore en élément de décoration. Je travaille également sur mesure et sur commande.
