A propos
The story of LisaDeFeoArt
My name is Lisa DeFeo. I started painting in watercolor, then years later started taking decorative painting classes and using acrylic paints. I painted mostly florals and landscapes. Then, one day, I painted a West Highland terrier on an ornament. It got so much attention, and I received so many orders for dog and cat ornaments, I have been painting dogs and cats ever since. I have painted and sold many many ornaments and wine glasses. My clients range from Hollywood actors, movers and shakers, to Westminster winners, dog show judges and handlers and breeders, to everyday people like me, who simply love their pets. All receive equal attention from me. One of my clients is a pug collector who lives on Park Avenue. One is the head of a very famous film studio. Many of my clients are repeat buyers. I have appeared on television and I make it a point to donate items to my favorite pet charities.
I have mailed items to Thailand, Brazil, Great Britain, Sweden, Finland, Australia and Japan.
I would love to take a custom order for you. I can custom paint an item with a photo of your pet. While most of my items in my shop are breed specific dogs, I can paint any animal including mixed breeds. I have painted many custom items of pets who are so dear to their owners.
I paint ornaments, jewelry, glassware, purses, canvases, and clothing with dogs and cats, horses, bunnies and birds on them.

I love to shop around and find surfaces to paint. I never know where a treasure will turn up. Sometimes I find something that I know is wonderful and set it aside till a design inspiration comes to me. However, I work full time. If there is some urgency to the purchase of an item, please contact me before buying so we can make adjustments, IF POSSIBLE, to shipping charges.
I really appreciate my buyers taking the time to post feedback. For other buyers, it is a quick way to learn about my items.

Retours et échanges
I will refund a purchase, the buyer pays return shipping.
I do not offer refunds if an item is broken or lost in shipping, or if the buyer supplies me with an old or invalid shipping address.
I will insure a package at extra cost to the buyer upon purchase, and the buyer will have to take it up with the P.O. if an item is broken or lost.

Expédition
I use the U.S. Postal service. Therefore, I cannot ship on holidays when the Post Office is closed. I always ship priority mail and I always use delivery confirmation.
If you wish to have me ship international, please contact me and I will get a shipping estimate for you. I do not mark customs slips as 'gift'.
I am not responsible for lost items if you supply me with an old or invalid shipping address. I will add insurance to a package if you request it.

I package my items very well. I do not charge a handling fee. I have sold over 700 items on Ebay and have learned only to use Priority shipping.
I ship almost every day.
Autres conditions et FAQ
I can paint the best results from good quality color photos. I charge more for additional pets on an item or for rush charges or if the original photos are especially unclear, overblown small or dark. Please remember, I only have the photo to go by. I cannot see the animal as you may see it. I can only judge the color of the animal's coat or eyes by the photo you send me.
I cannot alter the color of the animal's eyes, if you ask for a custom pendant or keychain from your photo.
If I am sent a tiny, dark photo with someone's arm or extraneous decorations in front of the animal, I will ask you to send a better one, or cancel the sale.
Although it is rare, I have been asked a few times to work miracles with photos that are so poor I can't even see the edges or color of the pet. The customer is ultimately dissatified with the result. So I am going to be stricter about the quality of the photos I receive.
