The stories are considered magical, Cajun folklore, and can be read by humans of all ages. The legend began with her grandpa telling her that all of the good dolls come from the sugarcane fields. I make the doll characters who are in the books. Remember "The Land"- It will become VERY familiar one day! Enjoy the books.
