A propos

Skinny laMinx used to be a hobby, and now (thanks to the internet) it's a business!

Skinny laMinx is a Cape Town design, pattern & textile studio. We’re inspired by Midcentury design & Scandi style, with a dose of African chic thrown in for good measure.

Self taught designer Heather Moore started the business in 2008 because she loves to make things. She’s kept on making things - now with the help of a team - growing an established business, much loved in South Africa & abroad.

At Skinny laMinx, we try to be good, honest and thorough in everything we do. This is why we choose to screenprint on natural fibre fabrics with waterbased inks, why we put our offcut fabrics to good use, and why we’ve chosen to produce our products in South Africa. It’s also why we want everyone on the team to enjoy the way they spend their day at work.

If you visit the Skinny laMinx shop at 201 Bree Street in Cape Town, you’ll find the Skinny laMinx team in a studio above our shop, designing, cutting, sewing & packaging our goods, ready to wrap them and send them off proudly to stores & homes all around the world.

Hello! I'm Heather Moore, and I live in Cape Town, South Africa, where I have a shop called Skinny laMinx, with my studio right above.

Everything in my shop is designed by me, and then the rest of the team gets stuck in to make sure it all happens 'just so'. Our printing is, sewing, and other bits of production, are all done by local individuals and businesses not far from the studio.

Retours et échanges
If an order doesn't arrive with the buyer within 30 working days of sending (barring extraordinary delays due to postage strikes, extreme weather or political events), we will re-send a replacement, but this will happen one time only. After that, it's a loss for both of us, and we'll just have to jointly curse the post office.

If you change your mind about the things you have bought, you can return them within 30 days of your purchase date. If they are still in the condition in which we sent them to you, we'll give you a refund on your purchase, but shipping costs are non-refundable.

NB: Before returning an item, please send an email letting us know what you plan to do.

If the item you received is damaged, or somehow unsatisfactory, please get in touch with a photo of what is at issue. Any damaged goods supplied by us will be replaced.
Please use Paypal.
Everything is shipped from South Africa, using a top-notch and outrageously reliable mail service that delivers packages to all corners of the world.

We send parcels regularly, within 2-3 business days of an order being placed. We'll send you a mail to tell you when your parcel has been sent, so you can start watching your mailbox! To the USA and Europe delivery is between 10 - 15 working days minimum, in rare cases 30 days maximum. Australian customers should expect a longer wait as items go through a strict customs clearance, so please allow 15-30 days at most.

Please do note that orders can be delayed due to unforseen circumstances, and we allow up to 30 days from payment to delivery. Please do get in touch with us directly should you be concerned regarding your order.

Any additional customs charges will be paid by the buyer.
