5 out of 5 starsI am so happy with my little Falco! Delivery was super-fast and I feel honoured for having a Beautiful art print done and signed by Yoann Lossel, one of my favourite illustrators ever. Postcard and bookmark are a nice extra and the certificate is very pretty too. Even the packaging and the care taken with it are delightful! Thank you so much Yoann! And I will be back soon for more beauty. I certainly need it!

5 out of 5 starsAnother gorgeous print. I adore this artist's work. He began the gold leaf on his art trend. Other people are adding it to their art now, but imo, none with the grace and beauty of him. You are a treasure.

About yoannlossel
Yoann Lossel
Yoann Lossel has exhibited his work in numerous galleries around the world, mainly in the United States. Award-winning artist, he is well known for his meticulous work combining graphite and gold leaf, legacy of the iconography that he cherishes such as the Italian Renaissance, the Symbolist, Pre-Raphaelites, Art Nouveau and Arts & Crafts movements. He currently lives in the legendary Broceliande forest in Brittany, France.
"Large landscapes fascinate me. I have always admired the strength that emerges from these visions.
Before locking myself up into my workshop to represent these worlds, I am primarily a contemplative person searching for spaces, atmospheres, for a scope for imagination. I pay particular attention to what is "outside the frame", to this tiny nuance that transforms a space into a story. The timethat shapes the tree and forces it to adopt a posture. The erosion of the stone which distinguishes this very one from all the others. The wind that modifies the moor and forces the hawthorn to grow horizontally. These shrubs you identify in the hilltops of Devon or the paintings of Hokusai. I have a special affection for ruins: in these spaces, time becomes tangible, somewhere between civilization and wilderness.
To highlight the depth of these scenes, I opted for the use of gold leaf, which generates background by their way of reflecting light.
Thus are born twilights and dawns. »
