How can we help you?

Choosing How You'll Get Paid

If your shop is open to the public, click Shop Manager > Finances > Payment settings.

If your shop isn't open to the public yet, you can choose your payment methods under the Get Paid tab once you choose your shop name and list an item. Learn more about getting your shop started here.

Etsy Payments

Sellers can directly accept multiple payment methods including:

  • Credit cards

  • Debit/bank cards

  • Etsy Gift Cards and Etsy Credits

  • *PayPal

  • iDEAL (from buyers in the Netherlands)

  • Sofort (from buyers in Austria and Germany)

*PayPal is integrated into Etsy Payments. This means that all PayPal payments will appear in your payment account. With Etsy Payments, you’re automatically eligible to receive payments from buyers who wish to pay using PayPal, even if you don’t have a PayPal account.

Additionally, buyers in authorized countries can submit payment via bank transfer.

Etsy Payments supports the bank transfer payment methods known as iDEAL in the Netherlands, and Sofort in Austria and Germany.

Etsy Payments is available in these countries. If you're a seller located in one of these countries, you'll need to sign up for Etsy Payments to receive your Etsy funds. Etsy will deposit these funds directly into your bank account.

PayPal without Etsy Payments

Etsy Payments is available in these countries. Existing sellers in these countries who opted not to switch to integrated PayPal may still use their own PayPal accounts. Newer sellers in these countries are not able to use PayPal without Etsy Payments.

Sellers in countries that are not eligible for Etsy Payments are welcome to use their own PayPal accounts.

Payments by mail

If you use a payment method that needs to be mailed to you, choose Enable manual payment methods. Select Payments by Mail, choose Check and/or Money Order, and enter your mailing address. This address will only be shared with a buyer who purchases from you and chooses this method.

Use this only if you have another way to accept payment that is not supported on Etsy.

  • Be sure to include information and instructions about this payment method in your listings and shop policies. Include specific details like payment deadlines.

  • Contact your buyer directly using Etsy's on-site messaging system, Conversations, to arrange payment.
