Children’s Clothing

Clothing products made for children have many specific safety standards and legal requirements that vary around the world. Etsy cannot advise on how to comply with the law. It is up to you to ensure that you comply with all local laws and regulations for the markets you serve.

Things to consider when you’re listing handmade or vintage clothing intended for children in your shop:

  • Could the item present any serious choking hazards (example: small buttons)?

  • Could the item pose any other health risks (example: flammable materials)?

  • Am I listing an item that has been recalled (example: some items with drawstrings)?

  • Have I embellished any clothing with beads, paint, ribbon, or other potentially dangerous materials that may be harmful to children?
