The live edge walnut shelves weren't nearly as curvy as in the pictures, but still look good. They arrived about 8 weeks after ordering.

The wall anchoring system seems of great quality. The installation process was a breeze. The quality of the wood is nice and sanded smooth, but the live edge did not have much character and is almost flat. The woodgrain was as expected/hoped, but the color of the wood/finish does not compare to the photos unfortunately. It was very lackluster and did not have contrast like the photos or the golden hue. I had to purchase a golden stain (and more poly) to achieve what I was wanting and expecting to be happy with this purchase. I lightly sanded off the clear finish that was provided and did two coats of stain and poly. Granted the description says the pieces and colors vary, but I believe the photos are a bit misleading for the live edge walnut shelf.

Buyer beware: this is the “live edge walnut shelf.” Be sure to look at customer images, not the one the seller has. It’s a cheap feeling basic board, and the seller just says “all boards with live edges are different.” Just know that you won’t get anything close to what is pictured, and shipping takes a long time. The seller offered but did not follow through on a 30% refund. This is my first bad Etsy experience.

The wood is beautiful. I ordered the “live” edge but I received a plain old wooden shelf. I was really disappointed. The 1st time I ordered these shelves with a live edge, the result was really nice. The shelf was not just straight across. So, if you want quality wood, buy from this merchant. If you want something different, I suggest you email them 1st to see what the have
